life story:
Born in England, raised in New Zealand, now living in Sweden with my wife and our two year old son.
Musical Journey:
I picked up the bass at 13 and instantly fell in love with rock music, becoming obsessed with its raw, heavy energy.. Around 15 I stumbled into funk, hip-hop and trip-hop - sounds that were more spacious and intentional. By 17 I was making beats, but along the way the music began morphing. It became darker, more soulful and a more true expression of myself. A mix of R&B, trip-hop and a heavy dose of melancholy.
Musical Purpose:
Here's the truth: I make music because I have to. It's the only way I know how to process the noise in my head and the emotions that I push down. Some of my earlier songs found success and while I'm grateful - chasing that success made me lose my well-being. I'm still figuring out how to balance the hunger for success with the simple joy of creating music that truly reflects my own and many others' experiences.
The music I put out isn't a product. It's pieces of me - and if it connects with you, if it cracks something open inside, then I've done much more than 13 year old me would ever consider success.
